This spring we are delighted to announce that Tim Harkness will be coming to speak to us. Tim is a psychologist by trade and for the past 25 years has provided sports psychology consultancy in South Africa and UK for a range of sports. He was the team psychologist for the Saudi Arabia National Football team at the FIFA World Cup 2018 and he’s been the Head of Sports Science and Psychology at Chelsea Football Club for over 13 years.
Tim has written a practical and accessible guide to mastering difficult conversations — a challenge we all frequently face — called 10 Rules for Talking.
Tim will be sharing the wisdom he’s gleaned from working with elite sportspeople, giving advice and tips on how to fine-tune our conversation skills and peppering his talk with anecdotes from the football field.
As you’ve come to expect, Shed Time is free event for men in the Ashtead (and local) area. We’ll meet on Monday 13 March 2023 from 7.45pm at the Dell Centre, next to St. Giles’ church. We’ll have the usual burgers, BBQ, beer and wine, so please come along and join us.
